Adventure reality television contestant raising $10,000 for chosen charity

Rebecca Dearden has been selected for an upcoming TV reality show called Adventure All Stars, which pushes contestants to have the ultimate adventure around the country.

Before filming, each contestant has 10 months to raise $10,000 for a charity. The Inglewood mum decided to apply for the show after an email popped into her inbox last year from Keep New Zealand Beautiful to see if anyone wanted to represent them.

“And I just thought, why not put my name out there and see what happens and have the experience of seeing different parts of New Zealand and do stuff that I may not necessarily do myself, and at the same time do some good for the community and raise funds for an organisation.”

On March 12 and 13 she is hosting big screen movie nights with food trucks in Waitara.
